Table Tennis History

With assistance from the Old Edinburgh Club’s Jean Guild Grant scheme, Charlie Ellis is conducting some research into the history of table tennis in Edinburgh.

Here’s an article he’s had published recently, looking at reasons why table tennis has been absent from the history of the city.

His research makes use of some materials collated by Michael MacLaren prior to his sudden death in 1999 and an unpublished manuscript on the early years of Gambit Table Tennis Club by Bob Hayman.
