It is with great sadness we announce that Steve Welch passed away on Saturday morning. Steve had recently been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Steve was an outstanding volunteer for Table Tennis England over many years and Table Tennis Scotland also became the beneficiary of his great experience and talent in his professional capacity as an accountant when he accepted Terry Mclernon`s invitation to join the Board of Table Tennis Scotland as Finance Director in 2015.
Terry McLernon MBE, Chairman of Table Tennis Scotland said;” Steve`s contribution to the Board of Table Tennis Scotland has been invaluable and he will be sorely missed. We have lost a very close friend and colleague and our thoughts and sympathies are with his wife Margaret and the family at this difficult time.”
The funeral arrangements will be advised in due course.
