Shetland Table Tennis Association – Part-time Development Officer

Shetland Table Tennis Association is looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and strong organizational ability to take on the post of Part-time Development Officer. A table tennis coaching qualification is a requirement.

Post Title: Table Tennis Development Officer (Part Time)

Location: Various club and community venues across the Shetland Islands, travel required

Reports to: Committee Chairman and Development Plan Monitoring Committee.

Purpose of Job:
To foster and promote competitive and recreational table tennis in Shetland, to attract more players of all ages, achieve higher standards and improve the profile of the sport.

The main duties will be to:

• Lead Coach Development.
• Set up coaching, competition and Social Club table tennis structures.
• Work closely with SRT and SIC who manage venues, to promote table tennis activities.

The post will be on a self-employed basis, with a 3 year duration. An average of 16 hours a week will be worked over 40 weeks in the year. Pay will be £20/hour.
