Online workshops a big success

Over the past month, Table Tennis Scotland, in partnership with Stephen Gertsen, have been offering out online workshops (see images below) to support our members during these times. The workshops are being offered out FREE of charge to help engage and keep developing our coaches/players and have received an excellent response so far.

To date, and as part of this initiative, Stephen has delivered workshops to clubs and leagues which have provided coach development, club development and player development opportunities. So far Highland, Stirlingshire, Dunlop, West of Scotland League, Glasgow South, Shetland, Knightswood, North Ayrshire, South Ayrshire and Drumchapel have all received support through this programme. Workshops are also lined up with Dundee, Edinburgh and Dumfries over the next couple of weeks.

On top of these, we have also made a huge effort to support our National Squad players during this period. We have had excellent engagement from, not only our younger stars, but also our Senior National Champions with Rebecca Plaistow and Colin Dalgleish attending the sessions. Stephen has also organised specific boys and girls TT development sessions and we were delighted to be joined by British number one, Tin Tin Ho, who inspired our girls tremendously during this workshop. For the boys’ workshop, we were joined by Wales National Coach, Stephen Jenkins, along with the Welsh National Squad players, this was also an excellent session which all the boys really enjoyed!

Every affiliated club in Scotland, no matter how big or small, is entitled to a TTS workshop with Stephen. If interested in one of our workshops then feel free to get in touch (stephengertsen@hotmail.co.uk) to arrange a date and time to suit.
