TTS online workshops

Table Tennis Scotland are now able to offer ONLINE WORKSHOPS (details below)  to our membership to include all affiliated clubs, licensed coaches, and active players. Workshops can be tailored specifically from a coaches and players perspective. Anyone who is looking to expand their knowledge, support their club members or improve as a player or as a coach can benefit from these workshops.

We are offering the services of professional coach, Stephen Gertsen, free of charge to deliver these workshops. Stephen’s background includes coaching for organisations such as TT Wales, TT England, and Greenhouse Sports, and he is currently working as a self-employed coach based in Inverness. One of his current roles includes working for Table Tennis Scotland heading up our National Squad Programme and he is also a sports lecturer at the University of Highlands and Islands where he teaches in a range subjects including Sports Psychology, Applied Coaching, and Nutrition.

In the past, as a player, he has represented Wales at major competitions such as Worlds, Euros and Commonwealth Games. He has a wealth of experience in developing players and coaches and more recently has been appointed as an ad-hoc Level 3 Lead Tutor/Assessor.

Each workshop is one hour long, and available from either a coach or player perspective. Skype or Zoom are used to deliver the sessions. Workshops available include:
