North Open Draw and Schedule

ADTTA would like to sincerely thank all leagues and players for their fantastic support of the North Open which takes place at Aberdeen Sports Village this Saturday 14 September 2024.

With over 100 players from as far afield as Shetland and Norwich it is going to be a busy day, reflected in the fact that we have had to increase the number of tables to 24 to accommodate all the matches. Danny Bajwa is top seed in the Men’s Singles and will be hoping to regain the title he won 2 years ago while Lauren Charles, who won the recent East Ayrshire Open and  is currently ranked 9 in England, is top seed in the Ladies Singles.  There is a high quality of entries in all other events, although the Veterans has taken a slight hit due to the fact that some players are competing for Scotland in the Home Nations in Guernsey.

Players are advised that the hall does not open until 8.30am so there will be only a very short time for a warm up before play starts promptly at 9am.  As we are under a tight deadline to finish by 5pm we would kindly ask players not to stray too far from the tables and keep matches going.  Please see the attached schedule and draws for further details, but bear in mind that this is provisional and times/tables may change as the day progresses.  Good luck to all competitors and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
