International Umpire Exam Success
Table Tennis Scotland is delighted to welcome two new International Umpires, Li Forest and Emma Qu, who qualified on Wednesday 16 October 2024.
Li and Emma sat the exam in Edinburgh under the watchful eye of invigilator, Richard Yule, TTS Chief Operating Officer. The one hour long exam is taken online and candidates are required to tackle 50 questions. Congratulations to both women who passed with flying colours!
Li and Emma are well known faces around the tournament scene in Edinburgh and Scotland and are now ambitious to travel and officiate at more international events. Both have their sights set on umpiring at the Centenary World Championships in London 2026.
Li and Emma are grateful to TTS Honorary President, Stewart McGowan, as well as the wider table tennis community in Scotland for supporting them in their umpiring career to date.
We wish them well in the future and if you are inspired by their success and would like to get involved in this vitally important part of our sport, please get in touch for more information: info@tabletennisscotland.co.uk
