Scottish Primary Schools Championships
There has been a bumper entry for this Saturday’s Scottish Primary Schools Championships in Bathgate with 48 boys and 16 girls from throughout the country competing for the four titles on offer.
Drumchapel players James Huang and Leo Stakim are top seeds for the Boys Singles and Doubles while the Girls’ events are looking wide open with only Lucy Stakim featuring in the ranking list. It is fantastic to see so many new youngsters have entered and hopefully all enjoy the experience as many will be taking part in their first big event.
Play starts at 10am with 16 groups of 4 and all players will then progress to further groups ensuring plenty of matches for all. We would ask that coaches and parents help the tournament run smoothly by assisting the youngsters with the completion of score sheets and umpiring on occasion if required.
