Updated Ranking List

The latest TTS ranking list has been published, including results from Inter League and updated with the new age categories for the upcoming season.

 

Since the last ranking list, there have been several improvements to the ratings system. The most significant change is to the starting ratings used for international events. We have campaigned for some time to have these adjusted so they better reflect the standard of Scotland’s top players and the wider international game. This has now been agreed and has had the biggest impact on players in the 1800–2500 rating range. As a result, Scottish players should no longer lose rating points on average simply by competing internationally, giving many players a small ratings increase.

 

The Ratings Central team has also been working to recover WTT results from 2022–2026 after changes to the WTT results system made them difficult to obtain. We expect these results to be included in time for the October ranking list. ETTU events will then follow, including the European Youth Championships from 2023–2026.

While it would be beneficial to include additional BCL divisions, our priority is to ensure that all imported data is accurate and consistent. As the amount of data increases, maintaining quality becomes more challenging.
