Scottish Ping Pong Championships 2022

The 2022 Scottish Ping Pong Championships will be held at Ward Road Gym, Dundee on Saturday 17th December. 

This is a fun TT event with a twist – players all use the same bats, with a sandpaper surface instead of rubber/sponge. This alters the dynamics of the game, presenting a slightly different challenge.  Many fans of Sandpaper TT believe that it helps develop their touch, movement and tactics. 

The Championships typically involve groups of 6, followed by a main knockout for the Ronnie Turnbull Quaich; and a parallel plate event (usually for some form of chocolate).  As well as the competitive side, it is a very sociable event, with a wide range of abilities and experience levels.
