North Open
ADTTA would like to thank all leagues and players for their support of this Saturday’s North of Scotland Open Championships, in particular Drumchapel Table Tennis Club who have 15 players coming up to compete.
Unfortunately our entry has been affected by a couple of other events on that weekend, in particular the Men’s Singles, however we are still anticipating some fantastic, and closely fought, matches across all eleven categories.
In exciting news, we are using STADIUM tournament software for the first time in Aberdeen meaning no paper group sheets! This has many benefits including the ability for family and friends to keep up with scores set by set, allowing top table to focus on other aspects of tournament organisation, and ratings updated directly after the tournament.
However this means we need most players to have a phone with them for inputting results at the table.
On the day of the tournament, open this link on your phone and at the top, click on ‘Enter PIN Code to report scores’ . On the day we will give you the PIN code, Then navigate to matches, then your table number and you are ready to put in the scores for your group.
The draws have now been finalised and published and can also be seen by following the link, and select View As Player to find the event you are looking for.
Thanks go to Phil McCallum and Tees Sport once again for their generous support which is much appreciated and to Gordon Muir for his assistance setting up the tournament on Stadium.
We look forward to welcoming you all to Aberdeen on Saturday and good luck to all the players involved. ASV doors open at 8.30am so there will only be time for a quick warm up before matches get underway at 9am sharp! Play starts with the Men’s, Ladies, Cadet Boys and Cadet Girls singles groups.
