Parkinson’s International Open 2025
The Parkinson’s International Open 2025, held on the 16th and 17th of August, was nothing short of spectacular. The event truly lived up to its name, attracting players from across the globe, including Hungary, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, England, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.
From the magnificent bagpipe-led entrance to the inspirational stories shared and the fierce table tennis matches on display, the event was a vibrant celebration of resilience, talent, and community.
Terry McLernon MBE, Chairman of Table Tennis Scotland (TTS), expressed his delight with the success of the tournament, stating:
“I would like to thank all the amazing volunteers, as well as Linda and Brian from the Parkinson’s Scottish Table Tennis Association, who were instrumental in making this event possible. I’d also like to thank the incredible Inverclyde Sports Centre for their warm hospitality and top-class facilities.”
