British Senior Schools Championship 2025 – Team Scotland Report
The Scotland Team had a fantastic time in Jersey at this year’s British Senior Schools Championship, returning with a brilliant set of results and some outstanding performances across the board.
Team Event Highlights:
- U16 Boys – The A team of Ben Hart & Joe Mulhern won the gold medal, defeating England B 3–0 in the final. They were in excellent form throughout the event, dropping just one game (also against England B) during the group stages. The B team of Jakub Krzyzostaniak & Connor Cadden also had a strong showing, finishing 4th overall after meeting the A team in the semi-finals.
- U14 Girls – The A team of Kiishi Adekola & Alexandra Hart claimed the silver medal in a nail-biting 3–2 final against England.
- U16 Girls – The A team of Maja Wojcicka & Nichole Lee earned a bronze medal.
- U14 Boys – The A team of Dean Robertson & Victor Chen also took home a bronze medal.
Singles Highlights:
- U14 Girls – Both Kiishi Adekola and Alexandra Hart reached the semi-finals, and each took home a bronze medal. Anne Chan also put in a strong performance, reaching the quarter-finals.
- U16 Boys – Joe Mulhern secured a bronze medal, losing in the semi-final to eventual winner Rex Wong of England. Ben Hart also reached the quarter-finals, where he was defeated by Wong 3–1. Jakub Krzyzostaniak made it to the quarter-final stage as well.
- U16 Girls – Maja Wojcicka earned a bronze medal, narrowly missing out on a place in the final after losing to England’s Millie Noble in the semi-finals. Nichole Lee also progressed to the quarter-finals.
- U14 Boys – Alexander Stepney reached the quarter-finals, where he was beaten by the eventual winner, Kai Lun Chow from England.
Plate Event Results:
- U18 Boys – Allan He took home the gold medal.
- U14 Boys – Victor Chen secured a gold medal in his category.
Scotland finished the event with a total of seven medals in the main events: one gold, one silver, and five bronze. In addition, our players claimed two gold medals in the plate events. This exceptional performance effectively placed Team Scotland second overall in the medal tally — a tremendous achievement that reflects the commitment, talent, and teamwork shown throughout the championship.
