TTS announce new Board Members

TTS ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS

The Board of TTS has been meeting regularly using the Zoom platform and at its latest meeting, Chairman Terry McLernon MBE was delighted to welcome two new members, Stephen Gertsen and Mat Norbury.

Stephen Gertsen who has been highly visible to many members during lockdown courtesy of his excellent series of on-line workshops for clubs, coaches and players will take over the reins as Director of Coach Education.

“I am delighted to have joined the TTS board, as the Director of Coach Education. I will be building on the great work done by Paul Jackson and Senga Thomson in recent years and I will do my best to support and mentor all our coaches from across Scotland”.

Mat Norbury is a marketing & advertising agency owner with 25 years of experience across a kaleidoscope of sectors.

“After almost 10 years sitting on the side lines as a non-playing parent table tennis has been a huge part of our lives, sorely missed these last 13 months. I am looking forward to helping TTS bounce back from the pandemic, and maybe even getting some table time myself!”

Senga Thomson is remaining on the Board and returning to her previous portfolio as Director of Development. Senga brings a huge amount of expertise and energy to her duties and she will also retain her vitally important position as the TTS Child Protection Officer and overall Lead on all aspects of Safeguarding in our sport.

Chairman, Terry McLernon MBE, said in his welcome,

“On behalf of the membership I wish you every success in your new roles. TTS is so fortunate to have such talented and dedicated volunteers working hard to promote and develop our sport.”
